Creative vibes in Trinity Yard! We have visiting artists from Chicago working with the students and painting our new-to be batik workshop. Some of us painted Adinkra symbols, originally created by Akan people of Ghana, which carry different concepts and teachings.
Samuel is painting Asase Ye Duru – divinity of Mother Earth symbol.
Cornelius is painting a war horn (Akoben) a symbol of vigilance.
Francis carefully finishes Adinkrahene- the chief of Adinkra symbols, representing greatness and leadership.
Our youngest student Ansah wants to study Art and Design and enjoys painting kente patterns in our kente workshop.
Musician Chris was teaching our talented drummers how to record and mix soundtracks.
