Drumming workshop

IMG_2191_RWe’ ve been honoured by the visit of our dear friend and excellent drummer Joe, who came all the way from Volta region to show our students how to repair drums, prepare and stretch goat and antelope skins as well as exhibit his virtuoso drumming skills and inspire his apprentices.
Our students Simon and Robert who learned how to drum as young kids in Trinity Yard where thrilled to see their first drum teacher and joined him in the daily workshops.

Despite of the heat and the strong smell of soaked animal skin they managed to fix all the drums that had been siting in the workshop for a while now but finally received love and sunshine they deserved. Now the beat of Joe’s sunset drumming sessions resonates further than Trinity Yard disappearing into the landscape of Cape 3 Points.
